This hint comes from Michael Ware. Michael has represented NZ on world bridge stages many times and won countless NZ Pairs and Teams Championships. So when he gives a hint I’m keen to follow it.
This one: Do not pre-empt if you hold two Aces.
Examples:

Understandably you may want to open the first hand with 2 hearts and the second with 3 spades. Better not to because you may shut down the bidding before your optimum contract is reached. You should mark time by opening the first hand 1 heart and the second hand with 1 spade!! Remember my hint on valuing long suits? (To your hcp count, add 1 point for the 5th card in a suit and 2 points for the 6th, 7th etc). Hand 1 is worth 12 points and hand 2 is worth 14 points. Opening ONE is fine. Just be sure to rebid honestly. If you can’t bring yourself to open 1 spade on hand 2, then Pass!! You will get another chance to show your spades because the deal is highly distributional and, therefore,
someone will open it, enabling you to bid those spades at an appropriate level.
